The MICHELIN Guide Taipei & Taichung 2020 selection highlights 31 restaurants and 23 street food stalls in Taipei, of which 7 made the list for the first time. Molino de Urdániz, located in the MVSA Hotel, is the first overseas branch of the two-MICHELIN-star restaurant El Molino de Urdániz in Spain. A Cut steakhouse, located on the ground floor of the Ambassador Hotel Taipei, has been promoted to one star this year from its previous MICHELIN Plate recommendation. Starred restaurants, Bib Gourmand and all the Restaurants of the MICHELIN Guide Taiwan. There were six two-star restaurants in total (five in Taipei and one in Taichung), while chef/owner of Taichung’s Oretachi No Nikuya, Sam Chung (鍾佳憲), received the Michelin Young Chef award “for his passion for ingredients, skillful techniques, and personal interaction with diners, making the dining experience all the more convivial and enjoyable, ” reported Focus Taiwan.
